Nafcillin is a drug that is widely used in medicine to treat urinary tract infections. It belongs to the group of antibiotics and acts on bacteria that cause inflammation of the bladder and other organs of the urinary system.

Nafcillin was developed in the 1960s and has since become one of the most effective treatments for urinary tract infections. It is available as tablets, capsules and injectable solutions.

The drug acts on a wide range of bacteria, including species such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis and others. It kills bacteria by blocking their ability to reproduce and spread.

Nafcillin is usually taken at 500 mg twice a day for 7-10 days. The dosage may be modified depending on the severity of the infection and the patient's response to treatment.

The drug may cause some side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, allergic reactions, and others. Before you start taking nafcillin, you should consult your doctor and make sure that there are no contraindications for its use.

In general, nafcillin is an effective and safe drug for the treatment of urinary tract infections. However, like any other antibiotic, it should only be used as prescribed by a doctor and in accordance with the instructions for use.
