Cephalonium is highly active against Gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus and Pseudomonas. It is also effective against some Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pneumoniae.

Cephalonium is used to treat a variety of infections, including urinary tract infections , respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and surgical wound infections.

Cephalonium is available as an injection and infusion. The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the type of infection and the severity of the patient's condition. Treatment usually lasts at least 7-10 days.

Like any antibiotic, cephalonium can cause some side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, allergic reactions, and impaired kidney function. Therefore, before starting treatment, it is necessary to consult a doctor and strictly follow his recommendations.

Cephalonium is one of the most effective antibiotics for treating infections caused by bacteria sensitive to this drug. However, like any antibiotic, it must be used with caution and only as directed by a doctor.
