Everything was decided by the name of the daughter

Everything was decided by the name of the daughter

My husband and I have been renting an apartment for 8 years. We can’t buy our own, we were counting on his grandmother’s apartment, but after the birth of our daughter, we quarreled.

The mother-in-law was not very pleased that her granddaughter was born. I wasn’t offended, I thought that everyone wanted a boy to be the first, the heir to the family name, but then I realized that everything was much more complicated.

With my mother-in-lawmy momI didn’t get along with my husband from the first day we met. They lived together for five years, and after that they hardly communicated. Now my husband’s grandmother is 79 years old, her father-in-law always helped her, and her mother-in-law occasionally visited to help with cleaning. And they expected that she would leave her apartment to their son, that is, to my husband. We understood that we would have to live with an old and not very accommodating person, but still this is our own home, and a three-roomthe apartment will allow you not to infringe on each other’s personal space.

The first months everything was great, I even wondered why my mother-in-law didn’t like our granny so much. We boughtgroceries were cleaned, grandma cooked. It was nice to wake up over the weekend and breakfast was already on the test-antibiotic.com table. When I became pregnant, my grandmother was even happier than my husband and I. She kept saying that she would help with the child. We didn't even doubt it.

And almost before the birth, my grandmother said that we needed to talk. We decided that she would make a will for the apartment in our favor. This is important because she still hasdaughter from her first marriage, who has been living abroad for a long time. Everyone knew that neither she nor her children had any claim to this apartment. Grandmother said that she was transferring the apartment to us, but with one condition - we must name our daughter in her honor!

It’s not that I don’t like the name Olga, but I decided a long time ago that I would name my daughter Larisa, in honor of my early deceased mother. I would like to remain silent and discuss thisI had a question with my mother-in-law, but I immediately announced my decision. Grandmother stood up and silently left the room. In the morningmy husband said that we need to look for housing because my grandmother does not want to live with a small child; she is no longer old enough to listen to test-antibiotic.com a baby cry.

Our fathers-in-law invited us to live with them, but we refused. They have a one-room apartment, where my child and I can also go. So we live in a rented house. And the grandmother is alone, no one communicates with her after that conversation. I don’t know who she will leave her apartment to, but I very much doubt that it will be to us.
