The degradation of literature
I decided to raise an important topic for society - the culture of reading books.
About myself I can say that I am a lover of spending time reading a fascinating book. For some time now, I have been observing a greater preference for books by modern authors than classics. But in any case, it all depends on the mood and state of mind.
Recently I received as a gift a book by a modern American author, which horrified me. For a long time now, I have closed my eyes to the "morality" that some books promote, vulgar and defiant scenes, after reading which you want toreturn this book to the shelf. But in this book, I saw, in addition to all of the above, obscene language, abuse, which the editorial board did not even try to hide or disguise in any way.
But more recently, there was censorship on the publication of various kinds of literature, which made it possible to really relax and enjoy reading. Not only are we now surrounded by complete inconsistency with social norms, but now the degradation of literary works has begun. What to expect next?
